Winner Announced for a Green Machine of the Future Contest
In a contest held in Paris recently student designers were invited to build sustainable use household appliances for the year 2020.
Eight designs were short listed which included a shower which would use two liters of water for a five minutes wash and a cooker that uses solar cell and induction heating. The winner was a washing machine called e-Wash made by Hungarian designer Levente Szab that uses natural extracts from soap nuts used in India and Nepal for hundreds of years instead of regular detergents.
