Honey Vs. Cough Syrup

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

New study finds that honey is more effective in treating the symptoms of cold and cough than cough suppressant medicines available in the market. One teaspoon of honey before bed seems to calm children’s coughs and help them sleep better.

However it is not recommended for the children under the ages of two. Also the type of honey that gave the best result is Buckwheat Honey a very dark colored Monofloral honey.
